The Reality No One Talks About
🧠 India has a financial literacy crisis.
According to Business Standard December 2023 report, 76% of Indians are financially illiterate. Shockingly, the situation is even worse among teachers and educators, despite being the ones who prepare others for life.
⚠️ The financial system isn’t helping — it’s hurting.
A May 2025 post by Outlook money India found that financial products like insurance, endowment plans, and ULIPs are among the most mis-sold in India — often sold to low-income or trusting individuals like school staff and teachers. Further, Economic Times reported that customer complaints to the RBI Ombudsman rose by 68% in 2022–23, many involving mis-selling of insurance and unclear product pitches.
🏫 Teachers retire with respect — but not with wealth.
Most rely on GPF and hope, unaware of smarter tools like SIPs, PPFs, and term insurance. But in today’s world — hope is not a financial strategy.
🔍 Why This Blog Exists
I’m Jagan Charak, a school Head, father, and financial learner — just like you.
After two decades in education, I saw a pattern:
- Teachers never ask for financial help — because no one ever taught them.
- They end up with mis-sold insurance, no real investments, and zero planning.
- Their retirement brings more regret than relief.
That’s why I created Chalk2Wealth.
A safe, honest, and simple platform where teachers can finally learn about money — without shame, confusion, or pressure.

Why Chalk2Wealth ?
Most educators are never taught how to manage their own money — we teach everything in school, except personal finance.
I’ve seen dedicated teachers retire with financial uncertainty, and young educators often feel lost when it comes to savings, budgeting, or investments.
Chalk2Wealth is my way of changing that.
It’s a platform that simplifies personal finance for teachers, families, and learners — with no jargon, just real-life, practical solutions. Because when teachers are financially confident, they don’t just lead better in the classroom — they lead better in life.
